Some Apps like Netflix are not compatible with the device – The phone works with the T-Mobile network. I can make and receive calls. The main issue is that some apps won’t work. For example when trying to use Netflix, It says that the app is NOT compatible with the device so it won’t even install. Disappointing.

Absolute steal for the price – Needed a cheap phone for a daily user as I wanted no payments and use mint mobile for $15 a month. This phone is amazing for the price fast as any iPhone or Samsung, Screen is beautiful, Android runs great camera is above average great call quality and good texting, an above average buy, phone was mint in box with charger. Best Buy on a cell phone I have made so far. You won’t be disappointed. Now that LG is stopping updates Android 10 I’m sure will be fine for a year or so till the next phone goes below $150

Updating android version? – Arrived fast, looked like new. Only concern is that it’s android 8.0 and I haven’t found a way to get it updated to android 9 or 10 yet

Refurbished for the win – This phone has plenty of processing power to handle any app I throw at it, but over time the battery performance degrades significantly. The most advanced battery monitor I could find showed a lot of wakelocks being triggered by the system, but I could never deduce why, so I just have a charging port near my desk and leave it charging when I’m not using it. (It will usually last the whole day even with a lot of app use, but it’ll be down to 10% by the end of the day.) The screen eats a lot of battery even when I turn of the always-on display and turn down the brightness.

Unlocked phone yet limited SIM recognition problem – The unlocked phone is a LG G7 ThinQ (2018) brand new buy sold at at low price. My previous SIM when inserted into this former Sprint phone does not recognize data or contacts stored on the SIM. I can only text and make phone calls, but any internet connection can only be done by connecting to WiFi. The phone’s APN feature is disabled, so no new Access Point Names can be added and the current greyed-out APN can’t be edited… and this seems to be the only way to remedy the issue which cannot be carried out. Looks like I will have to try to switch carriers to fix the problem. The APN issue seems to be happening with model LGG710PM only, so hopefully a new T-Mobile SIM will give me internet access, but will cost me more than my current plan. If this phone had been advertised with having the blatant SIM / APN issue, I may have chosen a different model and avoided many headaches and hours of time talking to carrier/phone reps and searching for a resolution. So this product was presented by Amazon with incorrect / incomplete /misleading information. A warning that this particular model LGG710 PM has this SIM / APN problem should have been clearly presented in the product description.

Powerful for price, poor battery – It’s a good phone, but the battery will drain in about four hours of Web use

As good as new – Beyond expectation, as good as new.

False advertising. Still locked & NOT GSM unlocked – I got the phone pretty quick which was very much needed. I have Metro pcs by Tmobile. First the phone was still locked to sprint and wow was sprints customer service something else. Then the guy wanted the info for who ever owned it previously from sprint…. And wanted me to switch to sprint for 30 days before they would unlock it. They had me on the phone for 2 hours wasting my time. Making popping noises and fart noises every time they asked me to please hold on and put the phone not even on hold, but just down and i could hear them in the back ground. Went to Tmobile while still on the phone with sprint and they actually got to hear them making noises, so finally we hung up. Tmobile was successful in unlocking the phone. (Took them about 5 minutes on the phone with sprint to get that done). Second, we find out that the IMEI# to the phone was still locked (so not GSM) and not compatible to any carrier other then Verizon or US cellular. Not even sprint anymore… So do yourself a favor and DO NOT purchase this Very Very falsely advertised device. Sad cause three phone itself is great, but the purchase itself is absolutely bogus and you cannot do much of anything with the device unless you’re just using it under WiFi. Which is not my case.
