Unlocked. BUT Not for TMOBILE or METRO PCS GSM Users, No Wi-Fi Calling Feature unless U R VERIZON! – I am a BIG fan of LG phones and have used them since 2017. I needed a 5G phone that was LG, UNLOCKED so I could stay with T-Mobile / Metro PCS Networks. I chose THIS LG VELVET because the description stated it was UNLOCKED and could be used on T-MOBILE/METRO PCS GSM. I got the phone, turned it on and it said..VERIZON!. I should have recognized the RED FLAG then. I called my provider to activate the phone, I was told to wait at least 24 hrs before full use. In the meantime, I started switching everything over via Wi-Fi. I was able to operate my aps via Wi-Fi, no calls! I waited 24 hours, tried to make a call and I got NOTHING! I communicated with the seller and provided IMEI no. but I had NO IMICD no. I called my provider again and they stated that THIS LG VELVET CANNOT BE USED ON T-MOBILE/ METRO PCS NETWORK for Wi-Fi calling, because this LG VELVET requires you to be on the VERIZON NETWORK to use this option! I couldn’t even make a call using mobile data either. So for that… It goes back. Otherwise… it is a nice phone if you are a Verizon user… other networks…..????? HMMMM IDK. But I will Buy another LG VELVET but I will go to my own T-Mobile /Metro PCS dealer… NOT 3rd Party.

Not compatible with AT&T. – I’m in the Midwest, USA. After receiving my new-to-me-phone, AT&T informed me via text and phone call that this LG Velvet model, LM-G900TM, is NOT compatible with their network. Only the LG Velvet model LM-G900UM is. Please don’t waste your time like I did. I’ve already started the return process. Now to look for a different phone…

Had problems with it. – I loved this phone till i didnt. I had trouble getting and making calls. The sound was amazing and the picture was great. However the curved screen was a huge issue too. Unless i set it down just right it slid off everything. The touch screen near the curve didnt work well either. I was sorry to send it back but it drove me nuts.

Love this phone – I love everything about this phone in fact I’ve owned three of them. But my company, which is tracfone/safelink, gave us six days notice that they were transitioning to 5G and I needed to replace my phone because it won’t work. So I contacted TracFone and they assured me that this phone would work for them. Anyway I spent a month and a half two separate phones that I have now returned and probably five or six hours on the phone with TracFone. Turns out it is not compatible with SafeLink or TracFone even though it says it’s unlocked. Personally I think it’s a TracFone problem but I have no way of proving that. Now I have a piece of crap Nokia g300. They wanted to sell me a phone that would work but it would cost $120 more and it would have less RAM and hard drive space. What an ultimatum they gave. I’m going to hold my breath and wait till this phone becomes compatible with TracFone.
